Half a month into senior year and I feel like doing everything that I can now. But how does one girl with low morale on a Saturday night do that?

A pack of cigarette, a bottle of vodka, sleep and hangover?

Maybe a little less naughty. Hardwork maybe, lots of reading, and sleep?

After years and years of failed dieting (my mom and Daryl can attest to this), I finally decided to have this summer as the diet-now-or-never-lose-weight-month.

Fast forward to today, it has been five days since I haven’t eaten rice (thanks to my friend, Rica, who lost a considerable amount of weight just by not eating rice). Then, I realized that I might be eating a lot of protein, and I might end up gaining more weight.

I just typed in random diet terms in Google, and voila! I decided to pursue the Southbeach Diet, just because I want to have a concrete diet plan.

It works in three phases, and before we worry about the last two phases, let me discuss the first phase first:

The first phase lasts for two weeks. Here, I would be eating meat and seafood (in my case that would be chicken, fish and seafood), vegetables, eggs, cheese (yum!) and nuts. Salad with dressing is an awesome addition to the diet too.

But, I almost cried when I saw that I couldn’t eat these things for the next fourteen days: bread, rice, pasta, fruit, anything with sugar. But I just read that I could eat gelatin! (Hello, caf gelatin)

I’m still reading on the specifics of the diet, and I’m prepping up for the next two weeks. And it’s a Sunday! What a way to start a week! :)

Sweet summer days

This week has been awesome — started my first day of work, had a good movie, went home to Bataan, etc.

And even if I’ll be dying in the next few weeks, the days to come will (hopefully) be the sweetest days of summer — my last summer as an undergraduate :(

For now, I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s work, and Monday’s Froyo and ~~chick flick~~ movie marathon with Daryl. (Pretty please, Lord. I’m craving for some cheesy reels.)

Did I say, I’m also going shopping on Monday? Fully Booked, yes.

Only that I also have work on weekends. But I’m not complaining. My body clock is easy to adjust, so long as I get enough hours of sleep. And whether you believe it or not, I do!

It’s just that my things to do list is now a very very long list.

Oh, is it summer?

It’s funny how my last summer as a college student is also the best (and the worst) summer of my life.

For one, I have summer classes and internship at the same time. One side of my mind says I need to prepare for Thesis and the other side propels me to get the year ready for my organizations.

There’s this longing to earn money to buy my own camera (I’ve been failing to buy one since second year because of uh — fashion :|), while, of course, the temptation to buy new clothes, shoes, bags, notebooks and books never dies.

Fortunately for me, I think I have enough good vibes to beat the summer heat and all its complexities.

On another note, I just watched How to Train Your Dragon yesterday and I’m prepping up for Toy Story III and Shrek: The Final Chapter in 3D. I can’t wait. :)
